June 29, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

FREE

All are welcome to celebrate the culmination of Black Pride Week during the June 29 march and festival on South Main Street, downtown Greenville.

Black Pride is a community event supported by Upstate Pride SC that is inclusive of all and an opportunity to be celebrated and welcomed, regardless of ethnicity, identity, orientation and gender expression.

The march begins at 11 a.m., and festival continues throughout the afternoon in Graham Plaza in front of the Peace Center with food vendors, art and merch for sale, a kid zone, speakers, drag performances, music and more entertainment.

Upstate Pride SC presents Black Pride to empower marginalized groups within the community who don’t always have an opportunity to create events for the entire community.

The local organization supports the LGBTQ community and is committed to intersectionality, especially for those who they identify as experiencing multiple forms of discrimination. Black Pride events and celebrations emerged as a response to the unique challenges faced by Black LGBTQ individuals, as well to celebrate, honor, and center their identities, experiences and contributions.
