How to Get the Most Out of Your Phenmor Build in Warframe (2024)

Learn how to optimize your Phenmor build in this guide so that you can take down hordes of enemies in the blink of an eye in Warframe

Warframe can be a tough game to get into for a newcomer. Sure, if you've played other MMORPG or Looter-Shooters like Destiny 2 or World of Warcraft, you'll have some inkling of what you're getting into. But once you dig a bit deeper, you'll quickly realize that Warframe is entirely a different beast than those games.

In this game, you'll quickly get access to a vast arsenal of weapons, both primary and secondary, in addition to several different Warframes that you can switch between on your Ship. Some unlock easily, some require a bit of money, and some can only be bought through endless grinding.

Phenmor is a primary weapon in the game, and while obtaining it is relatively easy, getting it to dish out the most damage takes a bit of effort. You need to build your Warframe around this weapon, and when you do it right, you'll be chugging out insane amounts of damage, clearing through the levels like a breeze.

In this build optimization guide, we'll help you achieve exactly that. As a bonus, we'll also tell you how to obtain the weapon if you're having trouble finding it. Let's get started.

How to Get Phenmor in Warframe

Phenmor is an Incarnon Primary Weapon in Warframe. There are two ways to obtain this Semi-Auto Rifle: Buying it from the Vendor at Holdfast Syndicate or trading it with another player.

If you've sided with the Holdfast Syndicate in the game, get to rank two by finishing quests for the Syndicate. After that, travel to the Chrysalith hub on Zariman and find the Syndicate Vendor in the center. You can buy the blueprint for Phenmor with 6000 Standing that you earn by finishing Syndicate Quests and Missions.

After acquiring the blueprint, Phenmor becomes available to build at the Foundry on your Ship. It requires:

  • 30000 credits
  • 15 Voidplume Pinion
  • 20 Voidplume Quill
  • 6000 Alloy Plate
  • 15 Entrati Lanthorn

So get ready for some serious farming if you don't have the resources. Choose a Farming Frame to make the grind go faster.

Essential Mods for a Phenmor Build

So you have your Phenmor. You've also upgraded it to the max level. But for some reason, you don't seem to deal as much damage as you've seen on different videos. What gives?

Well, that probably means you haven't optimized the build yet. Don't worry; we've got you covered.

First, let's talk a bit about the weapon itself. Since it's an Incarnon weapon, there are five evolutions that you can unlock with Phenmor. Unlocking all the evolution requires you to complete different tasks, so read through the requirements and finish them at your own pace.

You also unlock some perks for each evolution, so choose the perk that you like the most. All of them are good.

Once you've unlocked the evolutions and chosen your perks, it's time to set up the mods properly.

Here are the mods that pair well with Phenmor in no particular order:

1. Galvanized Chamber

The Galvanized Chamber mod is the Galvanized variant of the Split Chamber mod that you can acquire from the Arbitration Vendors. You can find them in the Arbiters of Hexis room in different Relays.

Multishot is a great effect to have on Phenmor, and with this mod, you'll get 80% Multishot as a base. On each kill, the multishot effect stacks by 30% and can go up to 230% at max stack.

2. Galvanized Aptitude

Another Galvanized mod that's excellent for Phenmor builds is the Galvanized Aptitude. You can buy it from the same vendor that sells the Galvanized Chamber mod.

It increases the Status effect proc chance for your Phenmor, and on kill, it adds 40% extra damage to your weapon. This mod can take the damage output of your weapon to the next level.

3. Malignant Force

Toxin is a pretty strong status effect in Warframe, and with the Malignant Force mod on Phenmor, you'll be able to shred your enemies like no tomorrow. It further increases the Status Proc chance by 60%, pairing well with mods like Galvanized Aptitude.

Finding this mod is also pretty easy. You only need to kill Corrupted Vor in a Level 40-60 Orokin Void mission, and it should drop for you one out of four times.

4. Terminal Velocity

Phenmor, at least in its Semi-Auto mode, suffers from a slow projectile speed. With the Terminal Velocity mod, you get a 60% boost to the Projectile speed of your weapon, making it a no-brainer for this weapon.

The surefire way to get this mod is to find and kill an Eidolon Teralyst that can be seen roaming around the Plains of Eidolon. You could also farm Drekar Hellions found in Grineer Sealab tilesets. They have a pretty decent drop chance for this mod.

5. Serration

Serration is a standard mod for most Rifle-type Primary Weapons in the game. You can acquire it from various enemies, so if you've played through a couple of missions, you should already have it in your arsenal.

It offers a massive 165% damage boost to your primary weapon at max level. When used with Phenmor, it can cut through the enemy line without batting an eye.

6. Hellfire

Similar to Serration, the Hellfire mod can be acquired pretty easily simply by doing missions. It adds Heat damage to your weapon, which, combined with the Full-Auto mode of the Phenmor, can inflict devastating damage.

7. Primed Shred

The Primed variant of the Shred mod is a fantastic one to use with any Phenmor builds. It improves the fire rate of your weapon by 55% and also adds a Punch-through effect.

However, it's not a tradable mod, and you can only get it through the Daily Tribute System. But hey, at least you don't need to farm Cetus bounty missions like you would have to for the Auger mods, right?

8. Vile Acceleration

If you don't have the Primed Shred Mod, the Vile Acceleration mod can serve as a decent alternative. It has a higher Fire Rate buff than Primed Shred, but it also takes away 15% of your weapon's damage.

Since it's a Corrupted Mod like the Narrow Minded, you can only farm it from Orokin Derelict Vaults found in Deimos System missions. So it'll take a while to find this mod. But once you do and put it on your Phenmor, the damage numbers will satisfy you for sure.

What Next, Tenno?

Phenmor can decimate waves of enemies with ease with the right mods. It's a fantastic weapon to farm Mastery ranks and can also help make the grind easier and less time-consuming for you.

With our essential mod lists for the weapon, you should be able to create a build for your Phenmor to bring out its highest damage potential. So good luck, Tenno, and happy hunting!
