Lime Patron Margarita Recipe Directions

Gather ingredients. You can use a different type of Patron if you prefer; the Anejo just happens to be our favorite.

If you like salt on your rim, now is the time to salt your glass. I skip this as I happen to love the taste of tequila on its own.

Mix tequila, margarita mix, and liqueur in a shaker and pour over ice.

If you prefer, you can also just pour these three ingredients into a glass over ice. This is what I do if it’s just my husband and I, so I have fewer dishes to wash.

Top with club soda to your liking. Less is more with this Patron margarita recipe.

Garnish with a lime.

I also add a glass straw to our co*cktails because it makes it easy to keep mixing the ingredients together. Liqueurs can sometimes fall to the bottom; with a simple swish, it stays nicely mixed in.
